Atlanta Golf & Social (Chamblee) - Indoor Simulator
Public + Memberships
Trackman Simulator
Bay fee: $50-$70
Atlanta, GA (Chamblee)
The OGs of Atlanta Indoor Golf, Atlanta Golf & Social opened in April 2023 and have established themselves as not only a leader in the indoor golf space, but the Atlanta Golf Scene as a whole.
When you walk in the door it feels like walking into your local golf club, but not the kind where you have to make sure your shirts tucked in and your hat is off. The bartender is often Greg Hall (owner), who knows you by name.
There's a bunch of cool merch options and a nice lounge area with TV to relax while waiting for your bay to open up. There's also TVs at each bay.
They have a full bar (beer, wine, liquor) and even CBD & THC drinks. No draft beer though. The transfusions are great, but I tend to get the Peach John Daly. They also have a solid food menu of small bites and larger plates such as the flatbread. The Buffalo Chicken flatbread is a go-to for me. They also have empanadas supplied locally. Even so, would be great to have a few more dinner/full meal options.
Hospitality is always top notch. Whether it's Greg or one of the employees, they're very attentive to when you need a new drink, finished your food, or need some help with the sim technology.
They have 3 bays, which is on the smaller side compared to other sims, but the bays are a very comfortable size. I'm never worried I'm going to hit something in my backswing. They have actual walls separating the bays (no fabric), and hightop seating around 2/3 bays and the 3rd has a leather couch. They use Trackman which I tend to favor. The turf quality is pretty good. A little worn in, but that's to be expected with the amount of traffic. They replace/move the hitting strip regularly enough to make it essentially a non-issue. The screen size is pretty average.
A fun touch is having local Atlanta courses such as Bobby Jones, Cherokee Town & Country Club, and others available on the sim.
One thing I've always appreciated about Greg and the team is their commitment to building a community, not just a business. Social is in the name for a reason! Whether that's hosting watch parties for the Atlanta Drive, pumpkin carving contests, or simply going above and beyond for the members, AGS sets the gold standard for creating a strong-knit community.
A few random notes...
Lessons available
"Pro shop" featuring club repair, re-gripping, lie/loft tweaks, and custom fittings
Club rentals available ($10/set)
Outside patio area is nice spot
Some membership options also include membership perks at the West End location
Rumor has it that Dunwoody and Roswell locations are in the works
Public rates are actually $5-$10 cheaper than some of the other ITP options and they have great membership programs as well... unfortunately there is currently a waitlist to get full membership (but speak to management and they might be able to work something out)
Locally owned, and locally celebrated for good reason. I definitely recommend Atlanta Golf and Social.
