What's your golf story?

Been playing close to my whole life. Was on the high school golf team at Mountain View in Lawrenceville, GA. We were not very good though, so it wasn’t a hard team to make. Enjoyed my time on the team but never took it too seriously. Slowed down a lot in college, but picked it back up hard core shortly after I graduated from UGA.

What got you into creating content?

I honestly just wanted to know how hard it would be to make a Trickshot. So I grabbed a ping pong ball and a cup and tried to make it on a 5 ft ledge. Took me close to three hours… (did the same shot a year later and it was less than 5 minutes) My wife actually posted the video to her TikTok (I didn’t even have one at the time). The satisfaction was so high I decided I would keep going and see how hard the shots could get. Got lucky and had a video go viral pretty early on and I’ve been going ever since.

What are your goals?

I’ve always tried to keep my goals within my control. So routinely posting and trying new ideas, not necessarily view or follower based.  Right now I’m focusing on long form YouTube content to see what can happen with the occasional Trickshot video thrown in. 100k on Instagram is definitely a goal as well though. I would love to go full time but I don’t think I could ever live with the uncertainty of it. I’m fortunate enough to have a flexible job which allows me to create content and work full time without much issue.

What has been the coolest experience that came from creating content?

Without a doubt when Haywood golf flew me up to Vancouver to get fit for a brand new set of clubs when I started working with them. They have been incredible supporting a small creator like myself and that experience alone has made this whole content journey worth it.

A big video series for you recently was copying Bryson's trickshot challenge and actually making it before him. Did you ever hear from Bryson? Anything come of that?

No, nothing came from that unfortunately. Never heard from his team and have no idea if he ever saw my videos. Although I feel like he had to of at least been aware.

Any advice for an up and comer content creator?

Enjoy yourself. Content creation is hard, takes a lot of patience, and a lot of luck. The more you enjoy the process, the less you’ll get in your own way.
