Cobblestone is regularly considered one of the best public courses in the metro area due to its fun layout, beautiful views along Lake Acworth and consistently above average conditions.

Clubhouse is very nice with the restaurant overlooking the shared green of 18 and 11. You can also see folks teeing off on 10 and 12. Great location, really good food, and a full bar.
I've always enjoyed the practice facilities at Cobble (pictures below). Solid range with grass and mats (Mats M-F, Grass Sat-Sun). The short game area is always in very good condition and the practice bunker mimics the course bunkers very well. Small $8 (35 balls) || Large $13 (75 balls). Balls not included with tee time. The putting green is a medium size, but provides plenty of undulations to practice on and dial in your pace. Also appreciate it being near the first tee.
My favorite thing about the layout is that both 9s feature Lake Acworth (7 holes in total). Often times, course layouts can only make it work on just one of the 9s. It also has a lot of variety: Par 3 distances are 175, 135, 205, 165, and 115 (yes there are 5). Two drivable par 4s, and the par 5s offer a ton of reward for a great tee shot, but they don't make it easy to do so. I think the weakest part of the layout is 18. It's a relatively benign par 4. I actually prefer to start on 10 because 9 is an epic, downhill par 5 - a very worthy finisher.

In general, you can rely on the conditions at Cobblestone: tee boxes well manicured, solid fairways (and there were a few spots where the course recently installed new sod where some of the grass was struggling - always appreciate a course taking good care of itself) and healthy greens - but there are a few critiques worth pointing out.
My biggest issue is that many of the tee boxes aren't very level. Often I could feel the ball above or below my feet. I don't think I've ever found an even spot on hole 5 - except maybe when playing from the tips. That said, many tee boxes have beautiful aesthetics to them - incorporating rocks and using the lake to frame.

Another critique is that while the greens are usually healthy and have a nice roll, many of the greens have "furry" patches that you have to take into account. It can be difficult to anticipate how it will effect your roll. This is a result of Championship Bermuda (hybrid) reverting back to its original form. Less impactful during the growing season, but during the dormant months it becomes a bit more noticeable. (I have heard rumors a complete green renovation in 2028)

The bunkers are solid for the most part, but there are a few where the sand isn't very deep and the lining is starting to peak through. Good news though! The course will be completing a full re-bunkering project this winter. Can't wait to see the results!
The pace is pretty average, and it can get backed up on the weekends. We played on a Monday and finished in 4 hrs.
Considering the above average course conditions, lake views on 7 holes, and fun layout, Cobblestone is fairly priced. Throw in the practice facilities and aesthetic touches and you're getting a solid value for the $64-$73. Hot Deals on GolfNow can take it under $50. And if you're within 30 minutes, I would highly recommend looking into their membership programs. The max level is only $249/year and provides:
Book your tee time 10 days in advance
Walk any time without paying a cart fee
All week, $25 off the regular 18 hole rate
All week, $5 off the regular 18 hole twilight rate
25% discount on your first golf lesson
20% merchandise discount, some exclusions apply
They also have the Youth on The Course program where a parent AND kid can walk 9 holes for $27.
I would recommend playing Cobblestone Golf Course.
