Dunwoody CC is one of the most exclusive clubs in all of Atlanta, and it lives up to the hype. I can't speak to everything the club provides (and it better provide a lot for a rumored $90k initiation fee), but from the perspective of a golf guest, it was awesome. Tour level conditions from tee to green and classy amenities throughout. While many consider DCC at the bottom end of "tier 1" country clubs in the Atlanta area, it is still an incredibly special experience.

Special thanks to @thepuregolfsociety for the invitation. Give him a follow if you like seeing beautiful courses around the world!

The clubhouse looks fairly unassuming until you open the door and find yourself in a labyrinth of white-tiled hallways. Luckily the locker-rooms are one of the first doors you see. The locker rooms are very nice featuring wooden lockers, showers, sauna, and every bathroom item you could need. When you arrive, the attendant shows you around and leads you to the guest lockers where you can put your shoes and any other belongings.

The practice area features a grass range, unlimited range balls, bunker/chipping area and another chipping area. The putting green is enormous and worth spending 30 minutes on.

Like I said, course conditions were perfect... there's just something special about perfectly manicured fairways meeting pine straw, lined by pine trees. The greens were soooo quick. These hands are dialed for public golf and it showed 😅. I never really felt comfortable over a putt.

The layout is a lot fun despite the infamous hole 5 (rumor is that there are plans for a completely new layout 👀). A great mixture of hazards, dog legs, and elevation changes throughout. Hole 4 is one of the most beautiful par 5s I've played - Augusta-esque. The par 3s on the front are especially scenic featuring ponds and playing downhill. 18 gives you everything you could want from a finishing hole -  par 5, elevated tee box, clubhouse in the background, and a speed slope that gives you hope of finishing your round with a birdie.

If you forced me to be nit-picky here would be my critiques...

  • Practice area felt a bit cramped. There wasn't a ton of room around the bunker/chipping area so that if more than 3 people were on it you felt like you couldn't practice there.

  • There wasn't someone manning the bag drop area when I pulled up. This was probably due to the GSGA event just ending, but regardless it's not an ideal first impression.

  • While the layout is really fun, the severe dog legs can get old. 4/5 par 4s on the front feature a hard dog leg.

At $195, its appropriately priced compared to other "tier 1" guest fees in the area. For example, at clubs such as Cherokee, TPC Sugarloaf, and AAC you're looking at $225 on the low-end.

So, if you can get an invite, splurge a little and treat yourself to impeccable conditions at DCC. You won't regret it!
