1hr from downtown

Special thanks to @smwman for joining me and his company Georgia Auto Dent Repair for sponsoring today's round!

Hamilton Mill is exactly what you'd expect of a private course north of the city: tons of elevation changes, tree lined fairways, and beautifully manicured from tee to green.

Big fan of the layout. Anytime I can get 1 elevated par 3 I'm pumped, but there were 3! The signature par 3 over the water is stunning. Especially with the flowers in full bloom. The par 4s vary in length, including a drivable par 4 which is always exciting. Even the par 5s had different tests to each one - tight fairways, double dog legs, forced carries, etc.

Tee boxes were all level and had enough grass, although few could do with some spring growth.

Greens were fantastic. Healthy, firm, and rolled true. The aprons on the other hand weren't great on a few holes. Many of those areas were ground under repair, so it appears the club is working on fixing that, which I love to see.

Amenities were as expected. Beautiful club house, mat/grass range, really cool pitching/chipping area, and a big practice green. Didn't stop at the turn so can't speak to the food, but Spencer said the restaurant was excellent.

Hamilton Mill is a great mid-tier private golf club. And if you're under 40, they have an amazing membership program- no initiation fee and less than $300/mo. Personally, I haven't come across a better membership offer considering the quality of the course. Great value.

If you get an invite to play make it happen! Had to drive over an hour from Marietta today, but I'd gladly do it again if/when given the opportunity.
