Construction at the John A. White Golf Course continues to progress steadily as the new clubhouse and community facility take shape. This project represents one of the most transformational investments in the golf course’s history, building on the course’s legacy that dates back to its original opening in 1929 and recent renovations to greens and bunkers.

At this stage of work, crews are focused on site development and structural preparation. Heavy civil operations including grading, earth moving, and retaining wall construction are creating a solid foundation for the new multi-purpose facility. This early phase is essential to support the complex program planned for the site, which includes:

A state-of-the-art pro shop and café tailored to golfers of all ages.

Community resources such as senior programming spaces, fitness areas, and classrooms designed to support wellness and lifelong learning.

Event and meeting spaces capable of hosting everything from business conferences to community gatherings.

The new clubhouse is envisioned not just as a golfing amenity, but as a vibrant hub for ever growing Southwest Atlanta, strengthening recreational opportunities and providing welcoming places for both golf enthusiasts and local residents alike. This phase of grading, drainage, and utility preparation ensures the long-term stability and sustainability of the facility ahead of vertical construction. Construction is on track for completion within the anticipated time frame, bringing this visionary space closer to reality.
