Like the Public Course Top 5, this isn't the quintessential list of the best Private Courses in Atlanta. I have yet to play any in the true Top 5 such as Peachtree or AAC. Will look to change that in 2026!

Here is the full list of public courses I reviewed in 2025... (click for the review)

Replica courses can sometimes feel a little gimmicky, but The Legends manages to thread the needle and provide a great 18 hole experience while also embracing the fun of playing replicas such as holes 12 and 13 at Augusta National. The conditions were fantastic. Especially for a very rainy day. Was amazing how fast the greens were given the rain. Can't wait to play it again in better weather.

Had literally never even heard of this club until I got invited, but am so glad I got that invite. So much fun! 3/4 par 3s were elevated and the par 5s had some great risk reward elements to them. Throw in a drivable par 4 and you've got everything you need. This is a mid-tier club, so conditions weren't quite as mint as some of the top end ones, but they were still great and getting better as the club continues to reinvest into the course.

Love me the quirk of a Dye course, and Atlanta National definitely delivers in that respect. It can be a love hate, but for me it's all love. One of my favorite layouts in all of Atlanta Golf. I feel like I could play National every day and never get bored. Overall, facilities are just decent, so that keeps it at 3.

The best course conditions I played on all year! Absolutely impeccable from tee to green. The riveted bunkers give it a signature feel that you don't get anywhere else in Atlanta. The course is TOUGH, so the layout is fun in a "I want to beat the course" kind of way... but not necessarily because the layout is amazing. It's really good, but Greg Norman designs aren't necessarily known for their character. "The Loaf" also had the best facilities of any course I've ever been to. I could live on the practice facility. The men's locker room was also unbelievable. Check out the review to see some pictures/videos. Seeing is believing!

The most exclusive course happens to also be number 1. Amazing course conditions second only to Sugarloaf, and a really fun/playable layout. While I can appreciate the challenge of The Loaf, at my skill level it's a lot more fun to play a course like DCC where I can actually shoot a decent score! I'm also big fan of the par 3s at DCC, especially on the front. And Hole 18 is one of the most memorable finishing holes in all of Atlanta - huge elevated tee shot into a gettable par 5 overlooked by the clubhouse.
